I disagree. Surely, given their flawed tonality tuning you do need EQ to make them at least audible. But the EQ can fix the tonality, not the technicalities nor the timbre. Timeless’ driver is “cheap”, and it shows.

It’s a shame that they have that 8k boost to fake a wider soundstage. if you remove that it’s a whole other headphone. Pure bliss. Love em. Source doesn’t matter.

Hi Sandu,
Loved our chat on the first day, I am so glad I got to meet you on the show-floor. Also thanks for the tip regarding Stax SR-X9000. One of the best headphones I’ve heard till date, and thanks to your recommendation I set aside almost 20 mins for them.

Looking forward to next year already and hope we can hang out more then. Cheers!

It was a pleasant surprise meeting you too. Too bad I didn’t stay for one more day, as the evening we’ve met was already fully booked (including kegs of beers that followed). I hope you’ll come next year too and we’ll have a longer chat for all things audio. Keep rocking mate!

Comment on OneOdio Pro C Wired + Wireless (Y80B) Review – The Notorious Big and Small by michael https://www.audioreviews.org/oneodio-pro-c-dw/#comment-1409 Mon, 02 May 2022 23:45:29 +0000 https://www.audioreviews.org/?p=48495#comment-1409 I just bought them straight from OneOdio site. These are the ones your reviewing, and they have newer version, but they sent me the older ones like your review. The newer ones are 1000mAh and 110 hours playback. I have the 1500mAh and 80 hours playback as your review. I use PowerAmp app and the equalizer with Bass&Treble preset. Sound really awesome on both bluetooth and wired this way. The only two things that kind of irritate me, is the leather top is too long, and wearing them, leaves an indent on left side on top. Makes me wonder if the headband is going to break but touching top, the leather gives extra area between top and metal part. Skeptical on length of use before breaking. Also, worried about the headphones breaking just above the hinges. They look really cheap there. I know there is a 2 year warranty but I do not want the company to keep sending me replacements each time they break. That is not good quality headphones that way. I had headphones from IdeaUSA that would replace them every 3 months they broke just above hinges. To me that is bad quality made headphones. Hope this do not do the same thing.

Have to agree with the previous commentor. Your review seems quite off to me. Artificial tone? Shouty? Compared to what? Doesn’t really sound like what I hear.

For an english reader this is even more jarring than your average KZ earphone!

Very best,

Comment on NiceHCK EB2S Review – Grown Ups by Ville Haapalo https://www.audioreviews.org/nicehck-eb2s-review/#comment-1402 Fri, 15 Apr 2022 05:25:08 +0000 https://www.audioreviews.org/?p=51544#comment-1402 Hello Jürgen Kraus nice review as always, I’ve read through almost all of your reviews on here and mostly agree with all of them. I bought the NiceHCK EB2S (black no mic version) almost three months ago and been using it for sometime, but not that much since my pair has a QC problem with it. I like the sturdy build materials and looks on the EB2S also the comfort and stable fit are excellent, the sound quality is good for 20-30€ with nice strong bass (for non In-ear earbuds) and good quality mids, though the treble is lacking in detail retrieval and the soundstage / imaging is not the best I’ve heard even compared to most other non In-ear earbuds.

The issue I have with my pair is that the left earbud is quieter than the right one even after swapping stereo channels the issue persists so it’s a physical problem with the left earbuds driver or cable somewhere. I can get around the issue though by using a program on windows PC that allows me to lower each channel volume dB seperatly (left, center, right, rear left, rear right, subwoofer etc.) so I can just match their volume approximately so they both sound as loud.

Still I’ve been lazy to not try and open up the earbuds / cable and fix it, also I didn’t bother trying to get a refund or send the EB2S back since I got it for around 18€ (lucky bag price) and sending anything back to china from my country is a huge pain and not worth the effort for that low amount of money.
Anyways the EB2S is a good product for its price and I know that one bad QC issue is not affecting the quality of the product generally, also NiceHCK makes many good earbuds and IEMs so I still like their products and brand even after getting a defective EB2S it’s not that big of a problem for me. Thanks again for your reviews and looking forward to reading more in the future!
